Kurdish Identity and Politics: Dynamics of Recognition and Resistance

Abstract

This article examines the complex identity dynamics of the Kurdish people in contemporary politics, showing how claims for recognition intertwine with strategies of cultural and political resistance. Drawing on a multidisciplinary approach that combines political studies, cultural anthropology, and postcolonial theory, the research highlights the different ways Kurdish identity is constructed, negotiated, and contested across geopolitical contexts.
